The installation
procedure is simple - just replace the tone capacitor with the REACTOR Tone Pack. And to install the
Vintage Cooler simply solder the leads to the volume pot as shown below.
These illustrations are
provided to help you visualize the process with a couple of different guitar wiring configurations
that exist. If you have doubts in your understanding or equipment, please seek a professional
as the packs are not indestructible and should be handled with moderate care. The installation
process is quick and simple, and should not be expensive to have it performed for you.
INSTALLATION A - FOR GUITARS WITH THE CAPACITOR CONNECTED BETWEEN THE TONE AND VOLUME POTS:
Remove the capacitor and then solder the REACTOR PACK leads to the same legs on each potentiometer
where the capacitor used to be connected. For added security, you may then solder or glue the pack
to the cavity bottom. A small tab is provided at one end of the metal frame that can be used
as a convenient attachment point for this purpose.

INSTALLATION B - FOR GUITARS WITH THE CAPACITOR CONNECTED TO THE TONE POT BACKSHELL:
Remove the capacitor and then solder one of the REACTOR PACK leads to the same leg on the
potentiometer where the capacitor was connected (it does not matter which pack lead) and then
solder the other pack lead to the backshell. For added security, you may then solder or glue the
pack to the top of the backshell. A small tab is provided at one end of the metal frame that can
be used as a convenient attachment point for this purpose.

INSTALL THE VINTAGE COOLER pack on your volume pot as shown here. You may then solder or glue the
pack itself to the pot backshell for added security, or the pack may be secured along side the
volume pot - however you prefer. A small tab on the pack frame is provided for convenient attachment
to the cavity or volume pot backshell.
**AFTER INSTALLATION check to make sure that none of the small wiring on the sides of the pack is
touching anything else in the cavity including any black paint or shielding foil. Also ensure
that the pack leads do not touch anything else. Any of these problems would cause either total
loss of bass response or loss of the signal entirely when the control is turned down.**
If you
are in the Atlanta Metro area, you can have a quick, professional installation for
just $10 per GUITAR,
regardless
of how many Tone Packs are being installed!
