REACTORŽ Tone Packs for Electric Guitar and Bass


A REACTOR Tone Pack is a self-contained, simple to install LCR circuit that is a direct replacement for the capacitor in your tone control. The function of the control remains the same:  10 being no effect and turning down gradually bringing in the REACTOR sound instead of the typical capacitor sound. The REACTOR also adds more versatility:  Light settings from 9 to 7 produce a transparent revoicing of the pickup that is subtle yet very effective at giving a fuller, more balanced sound. From 6 to 4 brings in a uniquely tuned mid-scoop. Settings of 3 and lower begin to maximize the effect and create a more dramatic tone. Don't think of the REACTOR as either "all on" or "all-off"; a little time spent getting acquainted can give you the benefit of several mods all in one. What makes the Reactors unique is that they are all carefully tuned in order to produce a superior sounding passive mid-scoop as well as allowing you to find one optimized for your tastes and pickup styles.

The REACTORS come in two main varieties: Those optimized for "Single Coil" or "Humbucker" pickups. All models are designed for audio taper pots, which most tone controls already utilize, but it's best to verify before installing.
